I am super excited to be collaborating with Steph Young from @stephs_allotment Steph is as passionate about the benefits of seasonal, good quality food as I am. She is an expert on grow your own, seed sowing and propagation and allotment, greenhouse and container growing. For anybody who has followed along with ‘Grow With Steph’ you’ll know what a wealth of knowledge she has – as well as being lovely, generous with her time and expertise! The day will start at 10.30 am with welcome cake, teas and coffee and a little time to say hello and for us to outline the day. There’ll be a talk by Steph about seasonal planting and an opportunity to get hands on with some Spring vegetable and flower seeds, everything you’ll need will be provided and you’ll get to take home your freshly planted seeds. I will be focusing on three key seasonal veg and demonstrating three recipes for each, how you can make the most of gluts and there’ll be some quick pickles too. Lunch will be based around the recipes I’ve shared. There will also be an opportunity to walk around the beautiful Old Slenningford walled garden – a treat in itself. Places are limited so please book early. - £70 per person, including all materials, welcome refreshments and a two course lunch
